Crete is so much more than just Chersonissos. Unfortunately, this has given the island a bad image. It is more than just party in Chersonissos or Malia. We want to change that image. Crete is a big island with a lot of nice towns / villages. In addition, you have long sandy beaches and some pebble beaches. The nature is beautiful and the food is delicious!
BEACHES
There are many pebble beaches on the Greek islands. Most tourists prefer a sandy beach nearby. The long sandy beaches that we are used to have in the Netherlands can also be found on Crete. Do you also prefer sandy beaches? These can be found in the town of Rethymnon and Amoudara. If a pebble beach is also ok for you, then Agios Nikolaos is also a nice place to stay.
DINNER
Greek food is delicious! It is no punishment to look for restaurants for 7 evenings. Cute, small-scale taverns in the harbour, the sunset and a good glass of wine. Come on with that piece of meat, the olives and feta!
NATURE
The nature of Crete is beautiful! How wonderful is it to drive around on an island through the beautiful nature? Crete is mountainous and surrounded by olive trees. Visit the Samaria gorge, the island of Spinalonga, walk through the Lassithi Plateau or take a dip at the island of Chrissi.
