Stepping Stone leads through a collaborative project to poor kids from ‘ risk ‘ areas and let them work in the restaurant as a cook or waiter.

Don Juán in Centro Histórico is a must for dinner. The menu is diverse and the food is very good with the fish dishes as a specialty. Atmospheric, beautiful restaurant with outdoor live background music. The restaurant is a bit expensive, but it is definitely worth the price. Thanks to its popularity it is wise to reserve a table.

In Colombia you have to try the arepa. When you just want to go for some streetfood Try a arepa in the district Getsemani! We noticed this shop near Plaza Trinidad because of the hustle. Your arepa is prepared here in a few minutes. There are many different options to fill this grilled Colombian ‘ pita bread ‘ with corn dough. Within a few minutes the Arepa is ready and it costs you only about 7,000 COP (€2,-) Yummy for the tummy!

Basilica

Basilica is an Italian restaurant located on a nice quiet square. You can leave the tourist crowds and go for deliciously affordable Italian food. The pastas and pizzas are excellent. Before you seat, make sure that the terrace is shared with the adjacent restaurant ‘ Boche ‘ which is not so good.
