Go Sweden! The fastest way to get to Sweden is in just 25 minutes. It’s a shame not to set foot in Sweden. We did not go for the fastest way, but took the tourist route. The city Malmö (Sweden) was already on our list. During the free walking tour our guide told us that he liked the Swedish place Helsingborg much better. So what do you do if you can’t choose, combine! Together with a conductor from the DSB (Danish railways) we have put together a super nice trip.

GO SWEDEN

From the main station in Copenhagen we took the train to the town in the north of Helsingør. This journey takes around 50 minutes. During this train journey you will see more of the real Denmark. Once we arrived in Helsingør we took the ferry to Sweden. You’ll sail to the Swedish town of Helsingborg. This ferry crossing takes 20 minutes. You can also take your car on the ferry.

HELSINBORG AND MALMÖ

Helsingborg is a small Swedish village. You can walk through this and have lunch as a pit stop for Malmö. When you have seen Helsingborg, take the train towards Malmö. This journey takes approximately 40 minutes. Here you see a lot of Sweden on the way. If you have time left, get off at the beautiful town of Lund. Malmö is a larger city and perhaps only known as the city where the Eurovision Song Contest was held in 1992 and 2013. A visit to Malmö is definitely worth it. You can shop well here and stroll along the colorful Swedish houses. From Malmö it is only 25 minutes back by train to Copenhagen. You’ve made a nice trip and seen some of Sweden in one day. Do you want to make this trip? Ask an employee at the station if he can help you put this combination together. We have paid € 27.00 each person for the train journeys including the ferry crossing.
