I think the most interesting history is that of Egypt. When I was a little girl the subject of my papers was the ancient Egypt. I love the history behind the pharaohs, the pyramids and the different gods. I have seen several documentaries about this and now I was finally allowed to discover the history myself.

LUXOR

A day trip to Luxor should certainly not be missed during your vacation. In Luxor you can find countless remains of Ancient Egypt and is rich in history. A guide is definitely recommended here, because it is huge and the stories are very interesting. In addition, Luxor is made up of various parts with numerous sights.

VALLEY OF THE KINGS

The Valley of the Kings is the cemetery for the pharaohs (kings of ancient Egypt). The Egyptians believed in reincarnation. Because they would return to the hereafter, many treasures, such as gold, were given. The Valley of the Kings has been the cemetery for 63 pharaohs, as far as known. Most of the tombs were discovered early and the treasures were stolen. The most famous pharaoh Tutankhamun has also been buried here. His grave was found entirely in tact by an archaeologist. His treasures can be found in the capital Cairo. The sarcophagus in which Tutankhamun was found during the find can still be admired in his tomb in Luxor.

I advise you to visit the valley during the sunset. The sun rises on the other side, but “dies” here at the Valley of the Kings, as the Egyptians say, which will give you enormously beautiful photos.

TEMPLE OF KARNAK

This temple has been around for centuries and is the largest temple complex of Egypt. The pharaoh who was in control at the time added a piece to the complex. You can walk around for hours and shoot beautiful pictures. Here you can find great works of art, murals and the walls and pillars are described with the famous hieroglyphs.
