Copenhagen is a beautiful big city. There is a lot to see But where do you start and what should you not miss? We have described that for you! From an amusement park to trendy food halls. Don’t skip the following places!

TIVOLI

Between the city and the station you will find Tivoli, the world’s oldest amusement park. This park has been around since 1843. Every season has its own theme and you really feel like you’re in a fairy tale. The winter theme is the most beautiful. The attractions are beautifully lit, different light shows are given, the entire park is full of fake snow, there is a Christmas market and the evening ends with a firework show. In winter it can be ice cold in Copenhagen. It is therefore recommended to go to Tivoli at the end of the afternoon. The days are short, because it is already dark around 3:30 PM. Tivoli is open until 11 p.m. If you go from 3:30 pm to 9:00 pm then you have plenty of time, grab the light shows and the fireworks show! In between you can also enjoy a delicious dinner in the park at Wagamama. For a single ticket for Tivoli you’ll pay around 11 euros. Please note that this does not yet include access to the attractions! You can pay for this separately per attraction, but this is very expensive. You can also buy a combination ticket directly at the entrance for 50 euros. With this ticket you have access to the park, unlimited access to the attractions and you get a snack and a drink. You can also buy an all-inclusive ticket. This ticket gives you unlimited access to the attractions, a dinner and 1 photo of you in an attraction for 71 euros. If you are dared to go in anywhere, we advise you to buy one of the last two options.

Tip: Download the Tivoli app before you visit the park. Here you can see where an attraction is located in relation to your location, how much a ride costs and it shows you the the waiting times. This way you get the most out of your visit to Tivoli.

NYHAVN

The most famous spot of Copenhagen is of course the beautiful Nyhavn. The colored houses looks inviting. Are you visit Copenhagen in the summer? Then the terraces are very busy. For drinks you’ll pay high prices. You will often see students sitting on the edge of the harbor with a beer from the supermarket.

During our visit it was very quiet and that was wonderful. That way we could optimally enjoy the view and take the time to shoot some nice pictures.

Nyhavn used to be important for trade and ships from all over the world docked here. The skippers drank a lot in the pubs and there was a lot of prostitution. Today there are mainly restaurants and cafés and for a pleasant (and expensive) evening you have to be here!

NØRREBRO

A visit to the Nørrebro district should be on your list during a city trip in Copenhagen. Nørrebro is one of the trendiest neighborhoods in Copenhagen. Narrow streets with small interior shops, a super skate park called Superkillen and trendy restaurants can be found here. A must to visit this district during your bike tour!

CHRISTIANIA

If you think you have seen everything, you have not yet been to Christiania. Christiania is an abandoned area that has been taken over by squatters. Since 1971, alternative locals / hippies live here. They have their own rules, laws and a currency. They also do not pay tax. Creative murals can be found everywhere in the village. Soft drugs are also sold in the middle of the village. Of course you are not allowed to take photos of this. It is nice to visit this village. You enter a whole different world.
