WINE TASTING STINA

In the port of Bol is the Stina winery. Don’t expect an estate with vineyards here. You do get a look at the production of the wines. You walk through different barrels with a guide. Talking about local products. Olive oil is next to the stone the main income of the local. The majority of the families have olive trees. The olive season starts mid-October to mid-November. 1 liter of olive oil is produced with 8-10 kilos of olives. Is it still on the bitter? Then the olive oil is good. The normal retail price for 1 liter of olive oil is 20 euros.

The olive oil museum can be found in the town of Škrip (this means large stone). A guide explains how the olive oil is produced. There is a small shop where you can taste the homemade products, but you can also get a delicious lunch on the top floor! They serve a delicious taping of olive, almond and parmesan. A delicious glass of wine in an authentic house with open shutters, gives you a beautiful view. We cannot wish for more. In addition to this museum there is 1 small supermarket for the 200 inhabitants. Mainly older people. You will also see this when you pass the museum and walk into the village.
